The Rainforest Foundation
The Rainforest Foundation has preserved more than 28 million acres of rainforest by helping indigenous communities secure legal rights to their ancestral lands. Research from across the world shows that forests managed by local communities have the lowest rates of deforestation. The Rainforest Foundation has thus dedicated itself to protecting the rich biological diversity of the rainforest and the cultural integrity of the peoples whose lives and livelihoods are inextricably linked to these forests. In partnership with The Moore Charitable Foundation’s regional affiliate, The Rainforest Foundation continues to work to preserve the rainforest for future generations.
